The 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge nearly doubles it's all electric range
April 28 2022,
We talked about this in another article but we thought we would come back to it because it is so important that the word gets out. Volvo has significantly improved its plug in hybrid powertrains this month. Volvo has increased the battery capacity in its plug-in hybrid Recharge models to 18.8 kWh, a significant increase over the previous 11.6 kWh capacity.
In the 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge, that means that you now enjoy 58 km of all electric range, an improvement of 27 km over the previous model. This is very significant and means that the XC60 Recharge now delivers significantly more range than many competitors like the BMW X3 PHEV.
Volvo has also increased the capacity and power of the rear electric motor which now delivers 143 hp, up from 87 hp. That means a 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge now delivers 455 hp. That is an incredible amount of performance for such an efficient vehicle and surpasses by a considerable margin the performance found in the 2022 Lexus NX plug-in hybrid or the BMW X3 PHEV.
In other words, the 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge now offers:
- A lot more range
- A lot better performance
- Class-leading horsepower
- Enough all-electric range for your entire daily commute
- And so much more!
The 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge now also offers one-pedal driving, a unique feature offered mostly on fully electric vehicles. This technology allows the driver to control accelerations and decelerations using only the accelerator.
